ZERO CONDITIONAL SENTENCE OR CONDITIONAL TYPE 1

Conditional sentence Type 1

Conditional sentence type 1 is used to express something which possibly happens in the future if the condition is fulfilled. The simple present is used in the “If clause”, and the present future is used in the main clause. The pattern is as follows:
If + S + V (Simple Present tense) +…. , S + Will + V1 ….

Examples:
– If I have a lot of money, I will buy a new car.
(kalau saya punya banyak uang, saya akan membeli mobil baru)
or
– I will buy a new car if I have a lot of money.
(Saya akan membeli mobil baru kalau saya punya banyak uang)
The sentence above talks about the situation which has not happened yet. It talks about something which can happen (I will buy a car) if the condition (I have much money) is fulfilled.
(to study), I (to pass) the exams.
2) If the sun (to shine), we (to walk) to the town.
3) If he (to have) a temperature, he (to see) the doctor.
4) If my friends (to come), I (to be) very happy.
5) If she (to earn) a lot of money, she (to fly) to New York.
6) If we (to travel) to London, we (to visit) the museums.
7) If you (to wear) sandals in the mountains, you (to slip) on the rocks.
8) If Rita (to forget) her homework, the teacher (to give) her a low mark.
9) If they (to go) to the disco, they (to listen) to loud music.
10) If you (to wait) a minute, I (to ask) my parents.
